Just wanted to journal the things I am learning lately in my tileset asset creation journey. I am learning how tiles fit together and how that uses my logical brain with my creative side. Tile sets are puzzles... wow. I mistakenly tried to imitate the pros and jump right into things.. I am a RUN before I can crawl kind of person who is pretty damn inpatient. That has really been hurting me in this project. It's so confusing for me to try complicated tasks straight at step 10 when I don't understand how things work or how to edit things that fit together. I found myself going back to square 1 multiple times when trying to make cliffs haha. Always start at the most simple shapes.. Aseprite has amazing timesaving features that really work well when you start at the beginning and work up. Wanna make sure tiles in random places line up? Aesprite has your back there. Palettes and colour-yay. How hues shift between shadows and highlights!~ Just a lot about colour in general and how that

I don't really know if its worth updating at this point- I guess this is my personal diary haha. Anyway I changed my DA name AGAIN... hehe it's probably the bajillionth time lol Hoping to at least share my work and get things kind of moving on here again slowly. At least work up some motivation from seeing all the amazing art on here~ Attending art school and wanting to take illustration and making games more seriously. It's been a little while. I have been a bit unfocused lately/things are starting to pick up again for me finally this year. I have a lot of things currently remaining unfinished... ahh I have to finish soon or I might never get them done.. I keep starting new small things rather than finishing the really big art projects I have going... I need to be more strict with myself and make deadlines for myself.... >.< Also use my time more wisely to make room for my creative pursuits. I really need to get better at that since I will be more busy from now. I waste so much time on Facebook and listening to YouTube lol It's a black hole... maybe I should just delete the apps haha. I know some people that have done that and it seems effective. I have started doing life drawing once a week with my friends which has been really fun. Not sure if we are going tonight because my friend might have a 'not-date' haha... I am really grateful for the deep friendships I have already made so quickly moving
